Job Summary
The ICT Technician is responsible for the day-to-day execution of assigned technical projects, and client support services for the ICT solutions offered by COM21, ensuring their successful completion. Other responsibilities include client relationships; surveys, and project inventory recording.

Job Description/Requirements
• Installation of assigned installation projects in adherence to quality workmanship and applicable industry standards.
• Projects are properly planned within expected timelines and resources appropriately allocated.
• Technical escalations judiciously resolved.
• Implement installations in compliance with the implementation schedule as per the project plan.
• Assist in conducting project surveys with the aim of generation of BoQs.
• Review of customer requirements and participation in the development of suitable ICT solutions to address requirements.
• Ensuring timely escalation of all issues that may affect the project critical path.
• Customer Care – Ensuring all user support related issues are responded to and attended within Technical SLA stipulations
• Documentation: Ensure that all job assignments are documented accordingly on the Customer Service Report (CSR) and timesheets.
• Ensure that all project documentation is processed accordingly with all relevant stakeholders updated.
• Ensure all project materials issued are well accounted and stored securely while on site
Education, Skills and Competencies
• Degree in ICT or related field and/or Diploma in Telecommunications.
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in ICT industry in a similar role doing technical project installations.
• Should have certifications in
o Cisco Certified Network Associate in Routing and switching
o Cisco Certified Network Professional
o Other training: Surveillance and Access Control, cabling training, in depth termination knowledge
• Working knowledge on Microsoft Projects, AutoCAD, Network Design planning
• PMP / PRINCE II certification is highly desirable/ diploma in project management.
• Extensive experience in installation and configuration of IP PABX systems, Surveillance and Access control systems and Networks (structured cabling & wireless networks).
• Good planning & management skills in technical project installations
• Strong analytical skills
• Good communication skills and customer service skills
• Disciplined and capable of ensuring policies are fairly and consistently applied
• Ability to adjust priorities and manage time wisely in a fast-paced environment
• Should be available immediately and willing to work on contract ( renewable based on performance)
• Should be willing to travel countrywide on assignment
