Internal Audit Posision

Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with the Internal Audit Manager to formulate and implement the internal audit strategy for the organization.
  2. Support the Internal Audit Manager in developing the annual audit plan and budget.
  3. Conduct audits to assess the effectiveness of Risk Management, Control & Governance processes.
  4. Ensure that audits adhere to established quality standards.
  5. Gain comprehensive industry knowledge to understand the business’s risk profile.
  6. Communicate and negotiate with business process owners to define audit deliverables, timeframes, and present findings based on the conducted work.
  7. Provide an impartial assessment of the risk and control environment within various business processes.
  8. Monitor the progress of implementing management actions following audit findings.
  9. Review risk-related issues and changes in relevant business areas and the external environment, offering insights to influence future audit strategy and direction.
  10. Cultivate relationships with management and other assurance providers.
  11. Educate clients on internal audit expectations.

Qualifications:

  • Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field from a recognized institution.
  • Hold a professional qualification such as CPA(K), ACCA, or equivalent.
  • Have a minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in internal audit, with preference given to those with experience in the general insurance industry.
